The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park is one of Houston’s best outdoor entertainment destinations featuring performances from national recording artists across all genres of music.

Q.     Can I bring lawn chairs or blankets to the concert?
A.     Blankets and lawn chairs are allowed at The Showgrounds, unless         otherwise stated by the show/artist. All carried items, including bags,         are subject to search. No large bags or backpacks are permitted in
        The Showgrounds.

Q.     Can I bring a cooler, food or drink?

A.     Coolers, as well as outside food and drinks are NOT allowed at The Showgrounds.

Q.     Can I bring a camera?

A.     Cameras with no more than a 4” lens are allowed for concert events unless otherwise indicated by the                artists or tour.  Media inquiries regarding photos of live racing and concert events need to be coordinated         through the Media Relations department contact grotolo@shrp.com.

Q.     Where can I park and how much does it cost?

A.     Valet Parking for live racing days is available for $8.  Premium Parking for live racing days and concerts
        is available for $10.  General Parking is FREE.  Please note, parking passes purchased in         advance or over the phone must be purchased no later than 10 days prior to race or event date. 

Q.     What happens if it rains?

A.     All shows are Rain or Shine. There are no refunds or exchanges once tickets are purchased.

Q.     Does my concert ticket allow me to come early and see horse racing events?

A.     Yes, a concert ticket also grants patrons FREE entry into live-racing events on the evening of the concert.

Q.     Does The Showgrounds allow me to leave and re-enter?

A.     For the general safety of our patrons, The Showgrounds will not allow re-entry to concert events.

Q.     Are children allowed at The Showgrounds?

A.     Yes, The Showgrounds is an all-ages venue.

A.     Tickets to all events at The Showgrounds are available by phone at 800-211-3381, online at         www.theshowgrounds.com or at the on-site Box Office.
